Mega Millions Lottery Losers Torch "The Secret" Bookstore

This just in...**

"CHICAGO - An angry mob of 20,000 people who did not win the recent Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot have stormed and set ablaze the Chicago bookstore frequented by Oprah Winfrey herself, when they were refused a $29.99 refund on their deluxe "The Secret" DVD's."

"This group of the formerly gullible were apparently duped into believing that "positive thinking" would allow them to win the top prize."

LOL!

If you think THAT was funny, wait until an actual lotto winner credits The Secret for winning.

It'll be pandemonium.

the secret movie could have been clearer with the meaning....of the law of attraction.....I believe that they did not realize that so many people would get the wrong message.....by picturing what you want to bring into your life....really really brings into your life....the answers and or possiblilities of attaining your goal which will be revealed to you....Its up to you to act on those revelations....as far as winning the lottery.using the secret...or growing hair.....I really think that is not the proper way to use the secret....I dont think those things will happen...but I wouldnt totally dismiss it as a impossibility.....
you need to be realistic....the editing of the movie and some of the things said are misleading....I believe thats why the Hicks parted ties with the Secret....there is a law of attraction..but the way it was presented left alot of information out of context.....too much speculation was left....
its ashame that the movie is getting bad press....because all in all..its a good message.......
people that want to disprove the secret will not be able to....goes against the law of attraction....I guess if you do not get the meaning of the secret..and you think of it as a rip off....thats your loss...I dont think there is any way to get those of you that think that the law of attraction is nonsense to believe it,,,understand it or experience it....your a born skeptic....

Well Shannon, I guess you were wrong.

I let virtually all comments fly on this blog. It doesn't matter what your views of The Secret are.

I dislike censoring (although I can't say as much for some of The Secret's teachers).

The only reason I moderate this blog is because some pro Secret supporters can't seem to keep this a family friendly site.

Occasionally, I'll get few inane, foul mouthed drive-by attacks.

I know this may come as a shock to you, but I agree with nearly all of your comments.

I don't think you can regrow hair either, but hey, who knows? Perhaps you should read this
forum thread.

I have a few issues with The Secret.

First, let me say, that I know exactly what it's all about. I'm not some newbie. I've studied and read about the law of attraction for years.

The main problem I have with The Secret is that it claims the law of attraction is scientific. So far, not one of The Secret teachers have been able to prove it.

The law of attraction is not a law, like gravity at all. It's a theory.

I think you are confusing the results you've been getting with something else, like taking action or coincidence.

Sure, there are certainly things that happen which can't be explained, but I don't think it's a law of attraction.

I don't think we attract everything into our lives either. In my opinion, a philosophy like that is a big mistake.

The law of attraction is exclusionary. It tells you to avoid or disregard people who don't believe or think like you do.

It is void of compassion. Part of the greatness of life is being empathetic to those who are suffering.

The other thing I don't like are the misquotes and outright lies about Secret teachers of the past.

Winston Churchill taught The Secret? Hardly. His quote was taken completely out of context.

Plato? He absolutely said nothing about a law of attraction.

Mother Teresa knew the law of attraction? An outright lie.

Either Rhonda Byrne purposely tried to deceive people (which I don't believe at all), or she's just a simpleton who should have left the editing and production to someone else (like Bill Harris).

Trust me, I don't need The Secret's philosophy to be successful. I know a lot of other very successful people too. They all think The Secret is a farce too.

I don't feel ripped off at all. And I'm not a born skeptic. I know what the law of attraction is all about. ...Been there, done that.

The movie is getting the press it deserves.
